Top 4 beaches around Cagliari

Porto Sa Ruxi is about 7 km from Villasimius, near Cagliari, in the South of Sardina. Its delicate sand, the crystalline turquoise-blue sea and the Mediterranean scrub make it look like a picture postcard. You can easily reach it by car from the Cagliari airport.

It is easy to recognize it thanks to the presence of a road sign and short dirt road.

The beach called Cala Regina it is about 10 km from Villasimius. It is placed some km after Quartu Sant’Elena and it is located at the back of Solanas, easily to reach driving down the SP18.

If you are in the surroundings of Cagliari and if you love the scuba diving, we recommend it. Its seabed looks like paradise.

Cala Giunco also called “La spiaggia dei due Mari”, whose name is due to a little stretch of water created by the sea. It is not a deep zone, and the water is warmed up by the sun. This beach is suitable for long walking and not for swimming.

You can reach it moving from Villasimius towards the sea, turn right towards the port where there is a crossing. After only 3 km, passed the beach of Riso, turn left toward a paved road till a pinewood. Park and go on by foot just for a few of metres.

The beach of Campus is a long and large golden beach which gives to the water a light green color. On its right-end there are cliffs and on its left-end, instead, there is a promontory that hides the little beach of Cuccureddus.

You can reach Campus moving from Villasimius to Cagliari, the access to the beach is before the Km34, turning on left of the Cormoran Hotel. You can also find a large parking area there.
