Italy has officially opened its borders to travelers from the European Union and the Schengen area as of Wednesday 3 June 2020. Here it is an update of the current situation and restrictions regarding the Sardinia region.
In Sardinia all international air connections will be operative from 25 June 2020; this is valid for countries belonging to: European Union, Schengen area, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Andorra, Monaco, Republic of San Marino and the Vatican.
From 1 July 2020 all other international destinations will be operative as well.
All the national air and boat connections will be operative starting from June 13 2020.
According to the decree of the President of Sardinia Region, all passengers arriving in Sardinia on airlines or sea lines are required to register before boarding using this online form.
The form and the app are in Italian, English and Spanish.
From March 8th, all passengers entering Sardinia must be vaccinated or carry a Covid certificate with negative results. The Covid test can also be taken at the airport or port.
Moreover, at the arrival at the 3 Sardinian airports (Alghero, Olbia and Cagliari) all travelers must undergo body temperature measurements and fill out the research form of possible past infection or contact with Covid-19.
